PhD students should present their ongoing project at three Artistic Research Forums (ARF). They should also attend at least one forum as participant.
The Artistic Research Forum was established by the Norwegian Artistic Research Programme as a yearly conference to promote the understanding of artistic research from a national and international perspective. At the forum, there are normally parallel sessions with presentations both of projects funded by the Norwegian Artistic Research Programme and PhDs' projects. The forums are organized twice a year. They are open to everyone with an interest in Artistic Research, and bring together research fellows, supervisors, project managers, academic and administrative staff, and others concerned with artistic research. Participation at the forums are free of charge, but all participants must book and pay for their own travel and accommodation.
