Polyphonic Processes for Bass and Voice was an artistic research project funded by the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU) from 2020 – 2023. Initiated to develop musical polyphony between bowed bass and voice, it evolved toward a more interdisciplinary polyphony of medium and method in response to the sensory and social conditions of the pandemic, which occured over the first half of the employment period.
Two large-scale performances formed the artistic result (This Fascinating Weather, 4.57 am) supported by a written Critical Reflection. The PhD was successfully defended on April 15th 2024. The dissertation may be downloaded here:
