What moves through his mind?
What makes him hold on to himself with such force?
What causes all tension?
She looked the other way for a while.
Out through the window.
Found her own eyes
staring back straight into hers.
Far far away.
In body.
In words.
So close. So close.
The hand on her shoulder.
The warm smile behind.
The sound of her breathe.
His eyes.
So full of fear.
Staring slightly to the left.
Not the same focus as the father.
What did he see?
His mouth half open.
Breathing.
He couldn't possibly know.
And yet perhaps he did know.
That his life would change.
Change more than anyone could dream of.
Transform into silence...
Arms holding on to the cave
Protecting the heart.
The whole body on allert.
Just in case.
One can never be sure.
A lesson.
Being left alone.
Sent off into the unknown.
What? How? To where?
Moving.
Into fear.
Loss.
Into a sea of salt.
How could he ever tell?
Or forgetting?
Yes of course! Never!
He decided to be silent.
To turn inwards.
Never looking back.
Even if he knew he could never let go.
It never ended.
The journey.
But he would never complain.
So near. So near.
He remembered her wispering. Before he fell asleep.
His hands in his hands.
The sound of his brothers and sisters.
Her eyes.
Holding on to tears.
Made him feel.
Sad. Lost.
Could anybody see how much he had been crying?
Never complain.
Always be grateful
Being a good child.
If only...What would have happend?
Who would I have been?
Nobody could ever understand
Better to transform into silence.
