Humming in an early morning hour. Wishing for sleep to come and take the sleepless soul far far away. While making a first early coffe. Looking out through the window. East. Morning colours. Wooden floor. Singing. Humming along. (ELB, 13 April 2021. )
All the golden horses
That ever thundered westward with the sun
All the silver moons which ever sank into the sea
Are not more precious than you to me.
Sleep brave gentle daughter.
Sleep, my wise fierce daughter.
Sleep brave graceful daughter.
Sleep, my wise fierce daughter.
Soon the day will join us.
But while the night and I am here you dream
Moons and horses, suns and friendly monsters,
Rising up to wonder who you'll be.
The darkness and I will watch over you.
While your dreams watch over me.
The wise fierce darkness watches over us
While your dreams watch over me.
