This is the eleventh yearbook in the series. After last year's anniversary book, we continue to describe the development of artistic research. The structure can be said to be a return to the pre-2013 yearbooks with a focus on particularly urgent issues (general articles - this year with methodological issues at the centre), reviews and project presentations. The book opens with an article on methodological issues, concluding that there is no single method for artistic research but that methods should be developed in each art form on the basis of the working methods used. This is followed by a report from the latest, fourth, symposium on artistic research organised by the Swedish Research Council, where methodological issues played a prominent role.
In 2014, two doctoral theses in the field of music are reviewed, which are among the first theses for artistic doctoral degrees at the University of Gothenburg and in the rest of the country. The artistic doctorate was established in 2010 as an adaptation to the special conditions that apply to research in the artistic field.
Four projects supported by the Swedish Research Council are presented. They concern the dancer and the artistic process, forms of sustainability in design, the expanded field of art music and an artistic experience park for sustainable development. This shows that environmental and sustainability issues are gradually finding their place in the artistic field as well.

Detta är den elfte årsboken i ordningen. Efter förra årets jubileumsbok fortsätter vi att beskriva utvecklingen av den konstnärliga forskningen. Upplägget kan sägas vara en återgång till årsböckerna före 2013 med fokus på särskilt angelägna frågor (allmänna artiklar – i år med metodfrågor i centrum), recensioner och projektpresentationer. Boken inleds med en artikel om metodfrågor där slutsatsen blir att det inte finns en metod för konstnärlig forskning utan metoder bör utvecklas inom varje konstform på basis av de arbetsmetoder som används. Därefter kommer en rapport från det senaste, fjärde, symposiet om konstnärlig forskning i Vetenskapsrådets regi där just metodfrågor hade en framträdande roll.
2014 recenseras två doktoravhandlingar inom musikområdet som är bland de första avhandlingarna för konstnärlig doktorsexamen vid Göteborgs universitet och i landet i övrigt. Konstnärlig doktorsexamen inrättades 2010 som en anpassning till de särskilda förutsättningar som gäller för forskning inom det konstnärliga området.
Fyra projekt som fått stöd från Vetenskapsrådet presenteras. De handlar om dansaren och den konstnärliga processen, former av hållbarhet inom design, konstmusikens utvidgade fält och om konstnärlig upplevelsepark för hållbar utveckling. Av detta framgår att frågor kring miljö och hållbarhet successivt håller på att hitta sin plats även inom det konstnärliga området. Därefter kommentereras projektrapporterna av kommittén för konstnärlig forskning (inom Vetenskapsrådet).
I sitt slutord reflekterar ordföranden i kommittén över dagsläget för området och om det pågående arbetet inom kommittén.
