FORWARD NOTES (2024)
Dear reader,
I would like to acknowledge the incredible work of Mr. Kobe Van Cauwenberghe and the emergence of exploratory research and dynamic innovation. Mr. Van Cauwenberghe is a virtuoso guitarist, conductor, and scholar; and I have no doubt that his work will bring fresh insight into creative music experiences and architectonic modeling. We are now in a time space where my generation has started to fade, and a new team has come into focus. This is the way of life and world change. Kobe has approached my music work with dedication and profound rigor. He has opened a door into tri-centric modeling as this subject pertains to 1) real time construction events 2) sonic geometry and twelve paths, or ” highway” voyages, into the system of a music world and/or narratives 3) this is a model that extends into transposition and image fusion and or holism. Since the late nineteen sixties, I have tried to build a model that could have relevance for future challenges and vibrational surprises. What we have here are fresh building blocks that can be used on the tri-plane. This material can be used in the same sense of building ground floor constructions in a micro/macro fantasy world - into “sonic voids” of magic/mysteries and the discovery of new poetics. This is a methodology that provides a foundational base for three-dimensional “multiples”. The concept of Tri-Centric modeling is not a system of arrival but rather a system of “becoming”. All propositions in this state demonstrate mutable, stable and dynamic transposition. I am honored that Kobe Van Cauwenberghe would choose to examine my music work - and I am grateful to have his friendship. Hooray for life and experience. Thank you sir.
