On September 14, 2017, the Algorithms That Matter artistic research project was introduced at the third workshop organised by the Humanising Algorithmic Listening network, run by Alice Eldridge and Paul Stapleton. It was entitled Future Implications and Application of Algorithmic Listening. The workshop took place on September 14 and 15, 2017, at the Attenborough Centre for Creative Arts, University of Sussex, Brighton.
