Russian-born, Diana Galakhova had her first recital tour in Sweden at the age of 15. Since then she has won several international and national competitions. In 2008 she was awarded the Young Talents of Russia Award.
In the course of her studies Diana has participated in masterclasses with renowned professors: R.Ostrovsky, N.Trull, V.Tropp, T.Zelikman, A. Skavronsky, B.Petrushansky, M.Voskresensky, A.Pisarev, A.Shih and J.Fialkowska.
During her artistic career Diana successfully performed in the renowned concert halls such as Steinway Hall (London), Whitgift Concert Hall, Amaryllis Fleming Concert Hall, St Mary Abbots Church and Chisinau Organ Hall among others. She also participated in the San-Daniele International Piano Festival, Casalmaggiore International festival, Queen Violin International Festival (Chisinau).
In London Diana formed a successful violin-piano duo with a prize-winner violinist Grig Cuciuc (London) with whom they have been performing in the UK, Italy, Moldova and Russia.
Diana was a Master scholar at the Royal College of Music London where she studied with professor Gordon Fergus-Thompson. She continued her studies at the University of Music and Performing Arts Graz (Austria) under the guidance of professor Libor Novacek and Katharina Brand (fortepiano).
Currently Diana is working on her PhD in Artistic Research project ‘Rediscovering Schubert’s piano repertoire through the instruments of his time’ under supervision of notable professors and experts in the field Torleif Julius Torgersen and Katharina Olivia Brand at the Grieg Academy, University of Bergen.
