I am incredibly thankful to the numerous people who helped me, inspired me, and supported me in various measures since 2017. In my final exhibition, I attempted printing all these names, and the paper roll had to cover two walls and part of the floors: I am so fortunate to have encountered all of you - there is definitely a full forest behind this tree.
Warmly, I thank my main supervisor Dr. Christy Dena, whose ethical reflections have helped me hold my own, thank you for all the reviewing, all the discussing, for following this project and my agitation with consistency, structure and an ever renewing set of references and ideas. Thank you for sharing your knowledge as a pedagogue, it’s helped me so much with discovering teaching myself.
Thank you, Siri Langdalen for joining as a supervisor in my last year and sharing your production design talent and knowledge with me. From our earlier collaborations in Lillehammer to setting up my final exhibition, you’ve been incredibly inspiring and motivating.
This project would not exist if not for CEFIMA, the Centre for Excellence in Film and Media Arts which was led by Fredrik Graver. I am forever grateful to have been part of CEFIMA and for Fredrik’s trust and support. Thank you Fredrik for the discussions, for calmly listening to my fuming French rants, and also for being a bold and brave pedagogue and study leader.
