Emerging from a lineage of convivial mini-FM radio stations, SkottegatenFM reached a twenty block radius in Nordnes; FM radios were made available to neighbors who learned about the station through hand-delivered, hand-drawn postcards. The station featured a weekly roster of programs and guests. Mondays were devoted to radio topics (natural radio; the impact of AM on bird navigation); Tuesdays for poetry; Wednesdays for norskkurs; Thursdays for dream interpretation live from Vienna; Fridays for surreal weather and traffic reports from far-flung guests, plus a recitation of the same poem each week by a local host; Saturday was for disco.
