'up without an insistent casting away' is a book of text pieces – open-ended verbal instructions or poetic invitations to create site-specific sound pieces. It will form the basis of a series of workshops and rehearsals prior to performances marking formal occasions (such as graduations and other official ceremonies) at the University of Bergen, Faculty of Art, Music and Design. As the winner of the competition to create a fanfare or ‘marker’ to celebrate the opening of the new KMD building at Møllendahl (designed by renowned architects Snøhetta), the first realisation of the book will take place at the official on-site key ceremony, on October the 11th, 2017.
