This project is practice-based research that investigates a practice model for sympoietic musicking in the field of contemporary free improvisation and comprovisation. It is driven by my interest in socio-musical sound engagements, particularly the relational connections between humans and instruments (physical material objects and electroacoustics). I explore this relationality with sound-energy-movement continuums with tools based on embodied, and movement-based practices for listening, interpreting and responding.

A cross disciplinary artistic research project that departs from, and investigates several encounters and alignments between Contemporary Art and Archaeology. Its primary goal is to create a broad selection of autonomous and collaborative artistic, poetic and scientific expressions and responses to Prehistoric Art and its contemporary images. It will seek to stimulate a deeper understanding of contemporary and prehistoric artistic expression and the contemporary and prehistoric human condition. The participating artists and archaeologists will create autonomous projects, but also interact with each other in workshops, seminars and collaborative artistic projects. The secondary goal of Matter, Gesture and Soul is to establish an international cross disciplinary research network at the University of Bergen and strengthen the expertise in cross disciplinary artistic and scientific work with artistic research as the driving force. This exposition emerged from my participation in the second interval of the Simultaneous Arrivals (Simularr) Artistic Research Project—a research project inviting international artist-researchers to explore relational, situated, and process-based inquiries in dialogue with core researchers. Core researchers: Nayari Castillo, Hanns Holger Rutz, Franziska Hederer, and Daniele Pozzi. For the second interval, the visual artist and researcher Elena Radaelli and I were invited as visiting artist-researchers. (More information on Simultaneous Arrivals: https://simularr.net/about/) The exposition presents my process during the residency, i.e. my Traces and Paths Towards a Singularly-Plural Companionships. The eight-week residency (3 March-30 April 2024) took place across three sites: Graz (Austria); Lecce, San Cesario (Italy); and Klagenfurt (Austria). The exposition traces this journey through various mediums, including texts, graphics, video and audio material experiments, field encounters, and theoretical companions. My processes, are informed and shaped by my companion collaborators—human (research-creation companions), more-than-human, textual, and material—who co-inform and co-create the unfolding of the research.

Cet article interprète l'adhésion au passé qui le conçoit comme l'idéal et la véritable manière de faire progresser, en gardant les yeux fermés sur le fait que l’évolution culturelle peut rendre ce qui était "sage" même inapproprié ou nuisible. Les études de cas présentent donc une dimension globale de l’époque autoritaire en Turquie, allant jusqu’aux idéologies cachées derrière le voile des sciences. L’idéologie autoritaire en Turquie est une question de droit et d’exception. Le fil qui relie aujourd’hui la Turquie et le monde moderne est l’idéologie capitaliste. Les habitants d’un même “village global” se réveillent et partent de chez eux vers des chemins différents où ils peuvent se retrouver avec des idéologies de négation, remplacées par des sciences confidentielles dans un monde qui croit en l’ouverture et la démocratie, qui est toujours au cœur des pratiques scientifiques.

This paper introduces the method of intuition as it is presented by French philosopher Henri Bergson in the book An Introduction to Metaphysics (Bergson 1912). Its usefulness as a tool to observe relevant information in artistic practice in sound is further discussed in relation to a series of works by the author. Exploring this complex field the author makes a preliminary conclusion that sound is not a thing, and it is not limited to what we listen to. It is a system of interrelated threads, the meaning of which is much larger than the actual sound itself.
