Workshop I, 23 and 24 of August 2007
The effect of blackout and a 50w floor can.

We are focusing on a makro concert for percussionist and ensemble.
Working with music for the ensemble by Rim and Lachermann
Kjell Tore instructing the Stacks by Oyvind Torvund, a solo piece for Percussion and ensemble.

Working with lightning, focus on off, what do you see, what do you hear,
Positions, sound, dynamics, swithches on-off. fade in -out.

Using light as focus shift, but not althering the sound?

We started with individual sounds with out the instrumente, trying to get as close as possible. Then with instruments.

Then I put together serias of the sounds used in the piece.They responded, all together, individuals, only parts of the fraces, groups of the ensemble,

Difficult to absorb the material and be able to copy the tune. The soundmaterial is very strange and it is really demanding to keep focus.
