Sofie Knudsen Jansson (Denmark) lives in Bergen and recently completed her bachelor degree at the ceramics department of Bergen Academy of Art and Design.
During my participation at the two previous workshops I have been looking at the idea of 'work'. My starting point has been the lost skills of the craftsman and the lack of human value in a capitalistic system. By looking at different sorts of work tasks I have been exploring movement and repetition.
My intention is now to reduce the idea of a task into repetetitive patterns of movement. I want to examine how we use our bodies and to what extent the body can become automated. What happens if the body is treated as a pure medium?
