The Garden of Thoughts

Generating improvised thought loops – through the interaction with the tangible world – the plant life – in a semi improvised and selection process – observing over an extended temporality, the dance of the garden, the movement of my thoughts --- their joint choreography. Thus merging myself with the garden, dwelling in the world, and giving human meaning to it. Fluctuating between the wild improvisation and my mediations - giving water and care, impulsively intervening – but also just allowing it to be – allowing the garden to improvise its way.

------- I am the Observer and intervener ----- Observing myself observe, and play. Watching the musicality of the garden, the moments of more intensity and action, the accents, the flowers, the fruits, the visitors, the insects, the unforeseen, the attacks, the deaths. Determining a balance where the wild can manifest ------ sustaining the improvisation – feeding my imagination.

I thought – of the Seer --------- and the fortuneteller as the improviser (or as I discussed before: the medium) I imagined that the Seer, is someone intuitively improvising  before someone else, this way foreseeing – this way reading through shells and pebbles, through coffee, or by the drawings on the hands – the Seer imagines things, improvises them, gives them words – communicates them.

For this period of  5 months --- my garden was my shells – and I became my seer.

I made a drawing --- I designed a landscape – and labeled each part – with a part of myself – a part of my thoughts.

I drew lines on a piece of earth, and transcribed my drawing into the land.  I portrayed each part of the garden, with words. An imaginary map of me, of my thoughts, but also, a purely physical one.

I planted each section with seeds at random – and I have been watching them grow for 5 month --- and still I am watching. The thoughts are growing – wild but taken care of – I water them, I take care of them, I watch them ---- I interpret them.

(watch the evolution... in the video below)

I am the Seer --- I interpret the activities of the garden in relation to where they grow and how. I am improvising the analysis of my thoughts and being --- through the garden.

I keep a diary ---- with notes ---- I document, with photographs.

I share with you—what I saw.
