Zur Innerschweizer Performancekunst 1969 – 2019
Seit den 1970er Jahren nimmt die Performancekunst einen festen Platz im Kunstkontext der Innerschweiz ein. Dieses Booklet und die Informationen auf der Webseite von PANCH sind ein Versuch, einen fragmentarischen Überblick über vergangene und gegenwärtige Performances vorzunehmen und nennt zentrale Protagonist*innen und Akteur*innen der Szene.
Das Performance Art Network CH/PANCH wurde 2014 gegründet. Das Netzwerk verfolgt das Ziel, die Performancekunst in der Schweiz öffentlich, künstlerisch und ideell zu stärken und zu fördern. Mit Diskussionsplattformen lädt PANCH ein, brennende Themen aufzugreifen und gemeinsam zu diskutieren. PANCH initiiert die Vernetzung von Performancekünstler*innen, Theoretiker*innen, Archivar*innen, Veranstalter*innen und Institutionen und bildet eine Lobby für kulturpolitische Anliegen. Mit der Onlineplattform https://panch.li/ macht PANCH die Performance Szene Schweiz lokal und international sichtbar, bündelt die Informationen und Aktivitäten und lässt sie ausstrahlen.
Die Arbeitsgruppe PANCH Lupe Luzern führte von Januar 2017 bis Februar 2019 Recherchen und Interviews durch. Zu der forschenden Tätigkeit gehörte die Sichtung und das Dokumentieren des Archivmaterials im Stadtarchiv Luzern, Befragungen von Zeitzeug*innen der Innerschweizer Performanceszene in Luzern, gezielte Anfragen von Performancekünstler*innen für Dokumente sowie die online Recherche von Künstler*innen-Webseiten und Veranstaltungsorten. https://panch.li/networks/lupe-schweiz
Kartographie
Auf der Webseite PANCH Lupe Luzern ist unter der Rubrik „Archäologie“ die Innerschweizer Performanceszene als eine Kartographie von 1969 – 2019 abgebildet und umfasst eine umfangreiche Sammlung von Bildern, Texten, Zeitungsberichten und weiterem Material. Die als Audiodateien publizierten "Interviews" geben einen historischen Einblick in die Innerschweizer Performanceszene der letzten 50 Jahre sowie über die aktuelle Szene. Die Liste der "Akteur*innen" vereint die aktiven Performancekünstler*innen aus den Jahren 2017/18 aus der Innerschweiz. Die Rubrik „Snapshots“ widerspiegelt die Veranstaltungen während rund zwei Jahren.

About Performance Art in Central Switzerland 1969 – 2019
Since the 1970s, performance art has taken up a permanent place in the art context of Central Switzerland. This booklet and the information on the PANCH website attempt to provide a fragmentary overview of past and present performances and the central figures that constitute this scene.
The Performance Art Network CH/PANCH was founded in 2014. The aim of the network is to strengthen and promote performance art in Switzerland, publicly, artistically, and ideationallly. Through discussion platforms, PANCH opens up the debate to address pressing issues and hot topics. PANCH initiates the networking of performance artists, theoreticians, archivists, organizers, and institutions, and forms a lobby for cultural-political concerns. Through the online platform https://panch.li/, PANCH bundles information and activities and lets them radiate; it thus renders visible the Swiss performance art scene, both locally and internationally.
The PANCH Lupe Lucerne work-group conducted research and interviews between January 2017 and February 2019. The investigation covered viewing and documenting of materials from the City Archive Lucerne, interviews with contemporary witnesses of the local performance art scene, specific requests for documentation from performance artists themselves, as well as online research about artist’s websites and performance venues. https://panch.li/networks/lupe-schweiz
Cartography
The PANCH Lupe Luzern website depicts the performance art scene of Central Switzerland as a cartography or “Archaeology” of the half-century between 1969 and 2019, including a collection of pictures, texts, news articles and other materials. The "Interviews" section provides historical insights into both the past and the present scenes, published as audio files supplemented by digests. The "Actors" listing assembles artists, organizers, and venues that were active in the timespan from 2017 to 2019. The category “Snapshots” collects the traces of performance art events held over the same time period.
