"Occupying a space whilst being one ourselves."

The materiality of the body coming in a state of symbiosis with the places it chooses to position itself and the objects it chooses to surround itself with.

Deconstruct and reconstruct. Remove parts of yourself, shed skin, cut your hair, change your weight, add others, change.

The transfiguration of one’s materic flesh, in the progressive becoming one with the environment that surrounds it.

The research begins from the consideration of the body taken as material, as a space, a meeting point between exteriority and interiority. The body that shares its own materiality with the places it finds itself in; they influence eachother.

MONOCHROME

The material body, occupier of space and a space itself. The intimacy of the reflection of the three main rooms of a shared apartment.

Not anymore.

Red monochrome painting, depicting the symbiosis of the bathroom ambience and the mental and physical corrispondance of the body
The yellow monochrome; depicts the detail of the body's back. A sign of trust, sitting at the round table, the back is open to this common place and showing vulnerability around the people it has faith in.

“Letters to myself” is a short collection of illustrations accompanying a collection of poems dedicated to the emotions experienced in the year 2024.

FLUIDITY

photomontages, 50x35 cm, 2024

The body. It dissembles, eliminates some parts, and multiplies others. It stops, it sets. Used as gesture, trace and technique contemporary. It disperses but keeps a limit like a trace of ink soaked in water on a sheet of paper. It leaves its spontaneity within the confines of its contours. It does not go beyond.

BREAKING POINT

videoperformance, mp4 format, 2023

Normality, breaking, getting back together, being broken again; the possibility of going back to normality.
The mental state of a person after a sexual abuse. The violence of the "act" and the will to return to an original functionality.

The work was presented for the exhibition "How were you dressed?" located in Locate di Triulzi (MI) in 2023
