I'm trying the configurations for more reticules. There is another brass based block with alternating square and circular fields of dots; I can find a rather irregular positioning of the slides, at least if I include the circular fields. And there one of the two smaller wooden-only blocks I found in Graz, which allows a very calm singular direction positioning. The two less sophisticated blocks I got on ebay with a cheaper looking bright wood and thinner metal teeth cannot really hold the glass slides as such. I like them as a duo, but I'm not sure now how and if I'm going to use them.
The ‘starfield’ reticule and the ‘rows’ reticule could work as single nodes with six channels.
