Manos

LYRICS
Where did you go?
And why did you leave?
I close my eyes and you are here
I open them and you are nowhere to be found
All you left was a note with the words
"Sorry, leaving earth"
Set out on my astro travels
Dodging lifeless satellites as I made my way past
The dark side of the moon
Where did you go?
and why did you leave?
Love in outer space blurred from the speakers
My soundtrack for the six-year odyssey
To find you
Mars truly is a red planet
and meteor showers are not so serene
while in the midst of them
Oh I have witnessed things quite wondrous to see
Travelled through the tail of an icy comet
Mesmerized by the brilliant glow of stars outside my port window
Yet nothing compares to you
Star of my story I always tell
Europa, Io, Ganymede and Callisto
The storms of Jupiter rages
The surface is always changing
I hope this transmission finds you soon
As I drift in space
I can make out Earth in the distance
Shining bright
No need to return
Nothing there for me without you
You are my starship, wherever you are
The storms of Jupiter rages
The surface always changes
Did I miss your distress beacon?
Did I take our love for granted?
Can you hear my transmission?
Where did you go and why did you leave?
Where did you go and why did you leave?
The Hands
by Rainer Maria Rilke
Two hands: they have been there since the beginning,
Pressed together, clasped,
Wrung, contorted, and pressed again.
Yet there was never a moment
When they could have taken each other
With that still, reverent touch
With which they grasp a thing,
As if it were given them to hold for a while,
But not to own.
When the future comes,
They will stretch themselves out
And open like the leaves of trees in spring,
Or like a water-lily
Rising from the depth of the pond.
But when the moment comes
That they are no longer needed,
They will gently fold upon the breast
Like the wings of a bird that has come to rest.
Hands
By Piedad Bonet
A hand is a bird, a broken branch, an endless abyss, a lonely field.
A hand is a man who has ceased to be a man, a defeated rope and a headless nail.
A hand is a child who died too soon, a web of nostalgias, a house without doors.
A hand is a book yet to be read, an eye without a pupil, a sponge without water.
A hand is a lighthouse that no one remembers anymore, a shoe without an owner, an empty chair.
A hand is a river with no memory, a trap without bait, a blind lamp.
A hand is a wing that breaks in the air, a stopped clock, a shadow without an owner.
A hand is a god begging on the corner, a shattered house, a thorn without roses.
LAISVIES INTERPRETATION
What keeps me alive is suddenly gone
I can remember how it feels to be in love with life,
A memory of something lost is bittersweet
Saudage
I do have a clue
And even though its absurd
I'm ready to go
And it will be fantastic
The search is my drive
Its a lonely and difficult journey
but the memory of love keeps me company
In this quest, I find incredible things
I live marvelous adventures
But no light is brighter than yours
Oh yes! This is what it's all about
A search
And it's not about the finding
But about the looking
It is all about change and that's why movement is th only certainty
I try to find reasons why you left
Maybe the search needs to be inside as much as it is outside
Ooouh mi amor
¿Dónde te fuiste?
¿Y por qué te fuiste?
Cierro mis ojos y estás aquí
Los abro,
y no estás en ninguna parte
-bip-
Ouuuhhh he presenciado
Europa
Io
Ganimedes
y Calisto
La tormenta de Júpiter se enfurece
La superficie siempre está cambiando
Espero que esta transición te encuentre pronto
Mientras derivo en el espacio
Puedo ver un verbo a lo lejos
Brillando intensamente
No hay necesidad de regresar
Nada allí para mí
Sin ti
Tú eres mi nave estelar
Donde quiera que estés
La tormenta de Júpiter se enfurece
La superficie
siempre está cambiando
-bip-
¿Me perdí el altavoz de estrés?
¿Di por sentado muchas cosas?
¿Escuchas mi transmisión?
¿Dónde te fuiste?
¿Y POR QUÉ te fuiste?
¿Dónde te fuiste?
¿Y POR QUÉ te fuiste?
