The Asia Pacific Artistic Research Network SIG connects artistic research initiatives and activities and provides a regional framework for practical collaboration between individuals and institutions in the Asia Pacific region. In this session Roopesh Sitharan and Danny Butt (with other co-Convenors on Zoom) will share recent activity, including: APARN’s 2024 meeting at MMU in Kuala Lumpur, and the upcoming 2025 meeting in Bangkok; APARN’s channel on the Journal for Artistic Research and the APARN Yearbook; and a residency on Climate/Coloniality organised with PRAKSIS in Oslo. At the end of the session we will launch the book Rebordering the Archipelago: Asia Pacific Exchanges published by Perimeter Editions in English and Bahasa Indonesia.
