Since 2019 I have been part of the FEMME CARNALA Women's Collective in Mexico, with whom we run the Femme Carnala Festival, which promotes women's art in the Quintana Roo region. We have organised 4 editions of the festival, in which dozens of incredible women artists have participated, carrying out artistic projects in various fields.
The festival is a space for women artists (and people who identify as such) to create a network and a conscious collective. In each edition the collective has set itself the ultimate goal of raising funds that have been donated to two different shelters for children and girls victims of abuse and violence in the state of Quintana Roo.
As part of the collective, one of my contribution was creating the graphic designs of the four events.
The festival was held for four editions in different public venues in the village of Bacalar (Quintana Roo) involving the local community. The venues where the festival has been held in the various years have been: the central square, the main park, the public amphitheatre, the Galeon Pirata cultural centre, the public art residence 'Casa del Escritor'.
