[Headphones are recommended for listening to the recordings]
On this page, we present the collective readings from our enquiry, where the original written texts have been read and recorded by each individual writer. We invite you — the reader of this exposition — to explore for yourself what happens as these individual recordings meet, the inter-subjective potential of both a sonic ‘we’ and of the possible textorium emerging in and through the act of listening to the interplay of different voices. You — the reader — are invited to 'play' (with) the sound files to the right, exploring possibilities of sonic texture that might accumulate through the overlapping and combination of readings.
We wonder:
— How might the read text (as well as the text as it is listened to) become inhabited as a space of living and of dwelling?
— How might reading/listening affirm a shared space?
— How might reading/listening become a meeting space for shared experience, a basis for being-with?
— Where are you when you listen – especially if you don’t grasp the language?
— Is it possible to be transformed by listening, even if you do not understand the language?
— How might reading/listening expand the individual "I" of the reader and listener?
— How can the first-person perspective within reading/listening become plural, become intersubjective?
