I've always took photos. Infact I have been imagining photographs I'd take and memorizing them in my mind, years before I had access to any type of camera. My beginnings go back to analogue photography and working in a dark chamber. Most people don't know this about me, but Iater I studied at the department of arts in my 20ies and took courses in visual arts and photography. As it so happened my first comission at the age of 18 was a portrait of a theater actor - fully analogue back then still. Throughout years photography was a significant part of my income and being entangeled within the art world consequently most of my work has been centered around portraing artists of all kinds: musicians, actors, writers, directors. My work has been published in catalogues of various exhibitions, theater magazines and albums of various music labels.
I haven't emphasized this side of my work since I study OUD and essentially since I came to Sweden for various reasons. However I have made it my intent to support my fellow students on their path in starting their music careers and thus photographed many of my collegues free of charge in the past years in Göteborg, as I am aware of how essential good quality portraits today are for young artists to be taken seriously and considered for performances.
At the center of my interst and curiousity is always the human being and an oftentimes hidden essence invisible in every day life, if not observed closely and quietly. I love about photography, that it seemingly eliminates the photographer, while really my photos only mirror my very personal view of the world and the people I encounter.
