Thoresen is a pioner in using microtonality in contemporary music in Norway. His latest reseach project is "CONCRESENCE", and involves quartertones in for singers. This is an example on how he scores and one of his main ideas are taht he want to use symbols witch are double different from the normal accidentals.
In this ear training exercises from the concrescence workshop november 2005 he uses the symbols. This was made by Lasse Thoressen and Gro Shetelig Kruse. Kjell Tore Innervik played the exercises for the singers and made a rehearsal cd with 80 exercices. |
