Concerts for children in Oslo, March 2006, produced by the the Norwegian Concert institute.
Documentary video made by Markus Tornquist (12 years old) as a school project, a day with Kjell Tore Innervik. The film is called "Pling Plong Pluss Pluss". (In Norwegian)
The concert was made in collaboration with the Norwegian Concert Institutes producer for children. Hallgeir Frydenlund. I toured for 8 days, giving 3 concerts a day. I used 3 hoers getting ready before the children arrived in the hall at their school. The concert lasted for 35 minutes and I was the only performer. A really learning experience. The repertoire developed in the contact with the audience. I really had to play and communicate with the audience. It opened up my mind for what children react to distinctly, and a way of using it to get them into the music. The concerts was a real test in how to present the music and the instruments for children. A well as musically aspects I used electronics for the first time. Processing the marimba, prerecorded sounds and voices and a live video of playing the marimba.
