Returned to London 6 years ago, having been formerly based in New York for 15 years. Affiliated as professor, with the National Academy of Art & Design (KHIB) Bergen, Norway, for more than 25 years. An active interdisciplinary practice means that he is also a regular guest artist, exhibiting internationally with works in many collections & collaborations with a number of industrial & social contexts. Working within the fields of sculpture, site specific or contextual installation, often performative - they are frequently staged in public spaces - working through strategies having roots in Situationist & hybrid practices.

As an artist, my stance is an inclusive pluralist/interdisciplinary position, which often, though not exclusively involves a contextual, ephemeral and/or participatory approach. Recent work at the Centre for Contemporary Art (TSSK) Trondheim (2013) & Rom 8, KHIB Research Gallery, Bergen (2012) Norway: 'where a work can be light, airy, fragile and seemingly insubstantial, transient/temporary and may self-destruct at any moment' (Chocks & Struts, installations combined with performance)
Focusing upon the peripheral, the transient, the un-fixed, the nebulous, have been axis points of my on-going works, & connected to my R&D activities at KHIB, for some years.
The relationship between the time-based 'held' works & the expanded works that result from this type of restless hybrid strategy creates a range of phenomena: works.
Installation, which is sculptural, performative & contextual or culturally specific, (various materials) By juxtapositioning fields, which are 'strange bedfellows': video/photo with clay/ceramic much unknown territory opens up.
