Exposition 2020, “State of Uncertainty”
Somewhere among comedy creation, cross-fertilization of formats, new media and their new fantastic opportunities, and all sorts of beautiful things, it sounds sensible to make some space, for a side of the discussion about art on digital media that feels not as bright but very familiar. If art is a currency, one should probably exchange their art for more art, capitalize on other’s creativity instead of squeezing theirs by moving it around on media and asking questions that they have a hard time answering. So if we are formatting impact, could we outsource the production of intellectual property -maybe even to the audience? And what would the impact of that be?
How can an exhibition create a space for reflection?
Exposition/Exhibition “State of Uncertainty” that looks upon the transformation from the physical to the digital.
Extended reality has offered an insane amount of possibilities in regards to the format of creative work. At the same time, it signifies the general merging of the physical and the digital we are now experiencing. With virtual productions and a significant technological progression in regards to motion capture and live rendering, physical and digital are merging on film.
In a way, we, as filmmakers, can do anything we want.
And not only that, but it can also be anywhere we want. There is a significant number of options in terms of formats. Options differ on a range of location-based, or in an online platform, VR or AR, and many more.
And actually, we do not even need to make anything. If the audience is invited in the right way and under the right conditions, they will do the work for us, the creatives that will just be monitoring the process.
Right?
Well, what exactly would we be doing then?
