Conclusion 




In this section, I will express my conclusions related to the following points: Reflection on the title, changes in the transcription ideas, the harvest of my transcription and my future work.

 

in the beginning, my title is: Can the organ play symphonic music and replace symphonic music in some respects? For example in a violin concerto, piano concerto. Using organ to play the orchestra part. During the discussion with my supervisor, he told me that the answer must be no. First, if an instrument can make any sound, then it definitely can play any note or any music. Also It impossible to completely replaces the symphony orchestra. Through the guidance of my supervisor, I found out that my intention was to study how to quickly and accurately transcript orchestral music to organ. So I chose Chinese symphonic music as my transcription work. At the same time, by studying the adaptations of other composer and organist, and summing up their experience. After that I completing the adaptation of my music.

 


In the process of my project, my first thought was to find some problems encountered in the transcription by adapting “The Butterfly Lovers” Violin Concerto, and then improve my transcription through the work of other editors. However, during my process of transcription, I found every music has its own style which will produce different effects and encounter unique problems in the transcription. If I follow my initial thoughts, then I will not encounter enough problems and transcription methods. In the end, the result will be insufficiently comprehensive and there is not sufficient reference. Therefore, in the end I chose to summarize the situation which happened in each instrument group respectively, and how the performance was shown on the organ.

 


During my research, I found that there is a lot of different versions of the same piece of music. The separate parts often appear in how to assign the parts to the left and right hands. Some instruments need to change the choice between the sound zone and the voice. By analyzing a large number of orchestral works, As far as I know, the first step is to determine the order of the parts of the passage, analyze the purpose of the passage, and determine what must be retained. The second step is to integrate the notes, rhythms, and the same parts. The third step is to analyze the harmony of the music, to eliminate the extra notes in the case of ensuring complete harmony, and to determine the playing effect in combination with the organ of the organ. The final step is to review whether the link of the passage is complete and make minor adjustments. Interestingly, through my analysis of other adaptations, I found that the editors rarely make specific recommendations about the use of the syllables, and generally only indicate what instruments from the orchestra are on the score, or roughly use soft flute or Indicates a solo sound bolt oboe or other instrument. Because each organ has its own unique tone, the sound plugs. The adaptor can only give the approximate direction and choose the sound plug according to the musician's own music quality.

Liang Zhu is a violin concerto that is close to half an hour. I haven't completely adapted the songs. Every time I re-review my adaptation, I find that I can explore the changes. In the following time, I will continue to adapt the songs, and at the same time analyze the other editor's transcription to continue to improve the newly discovered adaptation method. This will be a very interesting and meaningful job. I hope my summary will help more editors and increase people's interest in the organ.
