Piece of May: On the 1st of May, I hang three pieces of clothing in the costume changing booth behind the bleachers.
Piece of June: On the 1st of June, I insert artificial flowers into the surrounding bushes.
Piece of July: On the 1st of July, I repaint one of the wooden plates of the stage with the initial color (blue).
Piece of August: On the 1st of August, I place two plastic snakes on stage, as if coming out from below an eroded wooden plate.
Piece of September: On the 1st of September, I attach and roll out a color filter roll for theatre projectors in front of the last row of the left bleacher.
Piece of October: On the 1st of October, I write the verse nec gemino bellum Troianum orditur ab ovo; semper ad eventum festinat et in medias res (Ars Poetica, Horatius) with adhesive black letters on the top of the right bleacher.
Piece of November: On the 1st of November, I transform the theatre zone into a construction site forbidden to the public.
Piece of December: On the 1st of December, I set a broken branch of a tree, found in the woods in the background of the stage, on stage the Beckettian way.
Piece of January: On the 1st of January, I glue a small thermometer on one of the metal banisters of the left bleacher.
Piece of February: On the 1st of February, I erect an articulated jumping-jack, as found in the Basque pastoral setting, to the top of the left bleacher.
Piece of March: The project is relocated for the first fifteen days of March in an open-air theatre (théâtre de verdure) in Montreal, Québec, Canada. On the 1st of March, I fix promotional posters, showing the theatre in Helsinki under the snow, on the gates of the theatre. Back in Helsinki, on the 16th of January, I fix promotional posters, showing the theatre in Montreal under the snow, around the theatre.
Piece of April: On the 1st of April, I ask my colleague-actor Outi Condit to go on-site anytime during the month, preferably several times, inviting them to improvise on spot on the motif of Cassandra. At the end of the month, I set the theatre on fire.
Throughout the year, I visited the site 76 times. Therefore, on average, between five and eight times per month.
At each of my visits, I would take photographs of the pieces in progress.
In addition to this documentation, and at each of my visits, I would memorize a monthly selection of lines from Anton Chekhov's Uncle Vanya in relation to seasonal weather. (See pdf beside)
The project is promoted on Facebook TM through monthly posted and shared "Events".
