About Ingfrid Breie Nyhus
Ingfrid Breie Nyhus (b. 1978) is a Norwegian pianist playing classical, contemporary and folk music. She studied the classical piano at the Norwegian Academy of Music, at the Sibelius Academy in Helsinki and at the Hochschule für Musik und Theater Hannover, finishing her soloist diploma in 2004. Her musical background is in folk music, first of all from the Røros pols tradition in the father’s family, that goes several generations back with fiddlers. She tours on a regular basis at classical, contemporary, improvisatory and folk musical scenes and festivals internationally.
