Welcome to this one voice

poem opening the performance Tongues and Ghosts

Welcome to Tongues and Ghosts

Welcome to the thicket of the voice

Most of which are voices of one of my own Selfs

So, welcome to the thicket of my voice

Make yourself comfortable

Let my voice be your couch

and let my mouth be your pillow

The truth though, as we all know

Is gross

So, just for now

Lean back, relax and forget that

My voice is just a gouge

Welcome to a voice and its multiple chips

And its infinite shades

Let your ear drums get licked

By rapid tongues

And allow the ghosts to pass through to you

To beat your tympanums

Then a voice that is really real

Will hopefully touch you with aberrant sound waves

That are moving through the space

Just make sure you let the Self drift

And dive into the stratum of the Other

Which is no one else than you

That allows my voice to be yours

While your voice resonates in mine

Watch the play with the attack and the reversion

Vocal extractions and instant insertions

Puppeteered by growing demolitions

And increasing depletions

Listen to vocal soundscapes

As if you let yourself fall

Right into the wing beat of a humming-bird

Welcome to

this

one

voice
