SCORE FOR THE PRACTICE OF MATERIAL ENCOUNTER *

- Establish a clear and calm space for this practice.

- Choose a material in relation to the scale of your body, especially your arms and hands: decide on a size, number or amount of material(s) you want to explore.

- Become aware of your body in relation to the material, and the space within which you are situated.

- Invite a time of slowness and open curiosity.

- In a receptive mode, with the enquiry into 'aesthetic thinking’ held lightly in your awareness, start to approach the material out of a ‘beginners mind’: first visual and then wait for the clear invitation to playfully explore its qualities with the whole range of your senses.

- Move the material and let it move your body.

- Observe the appearing phenomena and continue to explore the rising of new constellations. Follow the emerging genesis.

- Once that phase of impulse is slowing down, come to an end and let the experience echo into your ‘aesthetic thinking’.
