Ecology in Action: (20.10.2022)
This Ecology in Action was practised live in the context of the Alliances and Commonalities conference, hosted online by Stockholm University of the Arts.
* Format/Focus: A 50-minute unstructured Ecology in Action
* Practices are not disclosed at the outset of practising.
* The Ecology in Action involves an undisclosed number of practices which are not identified in advance (other than being ‘not new’ - ie. they are already described through the "scores" outlined in SINGLE PRACTICES).
* Practices are activated as three explorations (by 3 different persons).
The 6 practices activated in the Ecology in Action are:
* Practice of Explorative Drawing
* Practice of Reading (Distillation)
* Practice of Exploratory Essay Writing
* Practice of Live Transcription
* Practice of Very Slow Video Observation
* Practice of Voicing Observation
Notes
* The Practice of Transcription had multiple sources, including the recorded conversation taking place on the morning of 18.10.2022 (which was a reflection on the previous Ecology in Action, 17.10.2022), alongside listening to the live unfolding of the other practices within the current Ecology.
* The Practice of Reading uses as its source text the transcription of the Ecology in Action from 17.10.2022 and 18.10.2022.
