International Master Network Meeting - November 23, 2022

Image that was presented to International Master Network Meeting on November 23, 2022. I wrote a short note (below) to introduce my topic in a 1-min elevator pitch style.

What was written here:

The collage of images captures the initial essence of how I do what I do in public spaces.

So, what do I do in public spaces?

I sense them visually and auditorily.

And how do I do it?

I use my body.

Duh! That's a dumb answer.

Everybody uses the body to sense things.

But do you use your body the way I use it?

I move my dancing body to change my perspective of sensing.

Now have I told you why I go through all this pain in sensing public spaces in the middle of bone-chilling cold months of Canadian winter?

Because hidden behind their surface geographies are alternative geographies, a series of sensory narratives that I wish to unravel to share with you.
