LA TERRE DE FEU (1925)
Aquí ponemos en diálogo el material fílmico registrado por Castelnau y Mandement con música popular norteamericana de comienzos del siglo XX y música “culta” francesa del siglo XVIII.
La selección de este repertorio se ha realizado intentando poner en evidencia la mirada y mentalidad colonialista de los grandes productores de "alta" cultura.
Siendo que los derechos de reproducción de dicho film le pertenecen a la cinemateca de Toulouse aquí solo se puede reproducir la composición sonora que hemos realizado.
El film se ha proyectado a comienzos de Abril de 2022 en el salón de eventos del Hotel Arakur en la ciudad de Ushuaia.

Here we put the film material recorded by Castelnau and Mandement into dialogue with North American popular music from the beginning of the 20th century and French "cultured" music from the 18th century.
The selection of this repertoire has been made trying to highlight the colonialist outlook and mentality of the great producers of "high" culture.
Since the reproduction rights of the film belong to the Toulouse cinematheque, here only the sound composition that we have made can be reproduced.
The film was screened at the beginning of April 2022 in the event hall of the Hotel Arakur in the city of Ushuaia.
