Heterotopias are sites "that have the curious property of beign in relation with all the other sites, but in such a way as to suspect, neutralize, or invert the set of relations designated, mirrored or selected by them".
They are places that are "outside all places, even though they are localizable". These spaces are linked to all other spaces, which they contradict at the same time.

In the search to understand the peripheries from their definition, form and place, I identified various ways in which they became present. I classified them into four types, not mutually exclusive.
Air is movement, time and space, however and unexpected place.
Paradoxical interior: my location, my own joined with others.
(moving, floating, flying, changing)
The wind as a space in constant movement, "in transit", becomes a place.
Element of rooting and affection, as well as tension that affects the place, becoming tangible, as a vestige of permanence, in time and space. Reflection of identity.
The periphery is translated physical and conceptually into the space, as a way to reveal the landscape and its nostalgic elements that evoque the term of "periphery".
A language in which the person is invited to be immersed in the space.
The body and its movement, as a revealing object of encounter places, that you can read from peripheries.
Reflection on the transitory nature of the embodied collective experience.

Collective building of the meaning
The periphery is present in the distance, somehow the periphery finds its identity from the periphery. When the place of origin is out of reach, between signs of strangeness and marks of a foreign place, in a constant tension between “being and not being there”.
Travel, which makes the origin tangible, in a portable dimension of the landscape and its roots even in the distance. The trip implies a fixed point, from which it emerges and from there the "being in transit" becomes a primordial state of leaving and looking for a home.
The body becomes an intermediary of this space "in transit", the only constant territory, as an object that absorbs, adopting foam in constant transformation and flow. Foam that becomes tidal, goes, collects, returns, and from there as a loop, generating ties with the origin.
The origin as completely inexorable of the trip. Beyond the place, it becomes a solid, personal and non-transferable memory, where nostalgia takes on spatiality and a sensory dimension, multiplies and branches, like an active metaphor.
Converging and diverging, the journey takes on infinity, a sense of cyclical infinity, eternally unfinished; incessant departure, incessant return.
