The birth of rap and hip-hop can be traced back to the 70s in the United States, and its influence can be seen all around the world. In the case of this project, we make connections and trace how rap has influenced music in places like China and Puerto Rico. Through these connections, we also explore cultural policy, cultural identity and popular media.
