ANDREA PARKINS, Germany

is a sound artist, composer, and electroacoustic improviser whose research explores relationships between the body, materiality, sound, space and situation. Her projects include performances and compositions, installations; and sound for dance, film and intermedia performances.
Andrea's work has been presented at the Whitney Museum of American Art, Kunsthalle Basel, NEXT (Bratislava), and many more.
Her notion of space addresses the charged zone that occurs (and tension that arises) between gesture-ignited sound, the material of sound-making, site and situation.
