Transformer can convert from being the vehicle, to the human-like robot, from being the human-like robot into the weapon.
None of it really makes any sense, yet it somehow holds together, "as if" it would be possible.

The logic of fiction and self-entrepreneurship have that in common.
Wait a minute; something does keep it together, a pattern of a kind? Would you rather transform into something completely different?
Look at your story again. Recombine and reformulate into something else, “something from completely different”. Consciously misunderstand it, mismatch its elements. Or maybe you can exit its logic by shifting it’s context?
