Ekspositio on kiinnostava avaus kapitalistisen logiikan ja taiteellisen tutkimuksen välisiin suhteisiin. Kirjoituksen alussa tekijä kertoo analysoivansa tekstissä taloudellisen ajattelun rajoja sekä taiteen spekulatiivista tehtävää tai paikkaa tämän ajatelun kehikossa.
Nauhan yksi teoreettinen ydinväite on, että Jumalan käsitteen on korvannut modernissa yhteiskunnassa ajatus “transsendoivasta ihmisestä (“man-as-transcendence”), jolle oikonomia (omistaminen ja omaisuuden hallinta) on keskeisempää kuin poliittisuus.
Analysoidessaan länsimaisen “talousajattelun” käsitteellisiä kulmakiviä ja ydinoletuksia, kirjoittaja ottaa vauhtia antiikin filosofiasta (mm. juuri oikonomian käsitteestä) ja etenee Agambenin ja Schmittin 1900-lukulaisten politiikkaa käsittelevien kirjoitusten kautta Francois Laruellen “radikaalin immanenssin” teoriaan. Tästä teoreettisesta konstellaatiosta rakentuu todella kiinnostavia jännitteitä, jotka johtavat korvaamaan “taloudellisen järjen” “Reaalisen” ensisijaisuudella.
Nauha hake vaihtoehtoa oikonomian “taloudelliselle logiikalle” myös hairesiksen käsitteestä. Kuten hän toteaa, praksis (myös taiteellinen) voidaan ymmärtää – ei ainoastaan spekulatiiviseksi toiminnaksi – vaan myös erilaisten mielipiteiden moninaisuudeksi, joita yhdistää tai joiden yhtäaikaisen eksistenssin sallii “radikaalin immanenssin” ajatus.
Näitä pohdintoja vasten kirjoittaja etenee analysoimaan “muutoksen” ja “päätöksenteon” kaltaisia termejä, jotka sitovat tekstin tematiikan avoimesti Ruukun uusimpaan teemanumeroon. Tekstin loppupuolella hän suhteuttaa aiheen filosofista pohdintaa myös Vantaan taidemuseossa toteuttamaansa “Exception” (“Poikkeustapaus?”) –taideteokseen sekä ruumis-käsityksen uudelleen määrittelyyn.
Kokonaisuutena Nauhan teksti on mielestäni varsin mielenkiintoinen, ajankohtainen ja monipuolinen, ja Nauhan ajattelu (sekä teoreettinen että taiteellinen) on kirkasta, syvällistä ja myös poliittisesti ja käsitteellisesti omaperäistä ja antoisaa.
